New Discoveries - June 2018

I haven't posted a New Discoveries in months! My last one was way back in February and I couldn't even remember what I had put it in it! This month's post features four recent additions to my collection, all of them complexion related, as that's been my focus these last few months. This group of products is much pricier than my usual New Discoveries, but I feel like my preferences are starting to skew towards mid range. I've definitely reached that point in my life where I'd rather have a few nice things to use consistently than lots of new products to play with. Are you there too? Anyway, click through to read about my four New Discoveries.

Pixi Glow Mist
$29.95/80ml
Over the course of the last year, I went from a face mist skeptic to a face mist addict, thanks to Saturday Skin's Daily Dew Essence Mist. I recently finished my bottle of Saturday Skin's mist, and wanted to branch out to something a bit more affordable. I knew I wanted to get one of Pixi's multiple mist offerings, and was actually pretty set on getting the Vitamin Wakeup Mist, until Caroline Hiron's recent Pixi overview swayed me, and I grabbed the classic Glow Mist instead. This dual phase facial mist contains a plethora of hydrating, nourishing ingredients. I apply a couple spritzes of it as part of my morning and evening skincare routine, and use it as a finishing spray, with beautiful results. I'm addicted!

Bourjois Healthy Mix BB Cream
$25/30ml
Bourjois is a brand I hadn't paid much attention to recently, but when I was on the market for a new BB cream/foundation, the new (to me, at least) Healthy Mix BB Cream caught my eye. I doubted that one of the three shades would suit me, but it turns out that Light is sheer enough that it suits my fair complexion. This BB cream's coverage is quite light, with a fresh and dewy finish - perfect for day to day. I definitely want to delve further into Bourjois' offerings and reacquaint myself with this French beauty brand.

Murad HydroDynamic Moisturizer
$130/50ml
I had received a sample of Murad's famous HydroDynamic Moisturizer with an Ulta order years ago and loved it so much that I had never stopped thinking about it's lush, dense formula and plumping abilities. Unfortunately, this moisturizer is WAY out of my price range. I was lucky enough to win a giveaway hosted by themakeupaficionado17 that allowed me to choose a Murad product, and of course I had to ask for the HydroDynamic Moisturizer! And it's exactly as good as I remember it to be! Rich, yet simple, this moisturizer keeps my skin soft and bouncy. I'm really enjoying it but I'm going through it far too quickly!

Derma E Nourishing Rose Cleansing Oil
$24.99/60ml
I've been on a real kick with Derma E lately, and the Nourishing Rose Cleansing Oil is my newest selection from their range! This cleansing oil had been highly recommended by some of my favorite bloggers, and for good reason! The Nourishing Rose Cleansing Oil is a dry, thin oil that removes just about all of my makeup and rinses away to reveal calm, hydrated skin. I'm still finishing off my Palmer's Coconut Oil Cleansing Balm, but I can't wait to incorporate Derma E's cleansing oil into my nightly routine.
