Derma E Hydrating Night Cream Review

Derma E says their Hydrating Night Cream will "Thoroughly moisturize and plump skin to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles with this ultra-hydrating night cream. This extra-rich, deeply penetrating formula delivers the unmatched hydrating properties of nature's moisture magnet, Hyaluronic Acid (HA). A single molecule of HA can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water, binding moisture to help plump, soften, smooth, tone and rehydrate skin. Enriched with anti-aging antioxidants, Vitamins C and E, and soothing Aloe, this formula helps defend skin from free radicals and the effects of the environment. Ideal for dry, dehydrated skin that needs richer moisture throughout the night, this cream delivers maximum hydration while helping diminish the signs of aging for softer, smoother, younger-looking skin. 100% vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free, mineral oil-free, lanolin-free, gluten free, GMO-free." Derma E's Hydrating Night Cream retails for $34.99AUD at Priceline, or $24.99 at drugstores and Ulta in the USA. As stated above, Derma E is cruelty free and this moisturizer was made in the USA from ethically sourced ingredients.

Derma E's Hydrating Night Cream comes in a weighty clear glass jar with a screw on white plastic lid. A frosty label wraps around the jar, with the product name printed on the front, and directions for use on the back. As a whole, I'm not really a fan of jar packaging for moisturizers, but I will admit that this product has a nice aesthetic. Packaging is recyclable - now that I've finished mine I've decided to reuse it for other products.

Derma E's Hydrating Night Cream is a smooth, rich, easily spread cream that feels heavy in a comforting, nourishing way. In spite of it's buttery density, this moisturizer sinks in quickly and doesn't leave the skin greasy - I used it both day and night, since unlike a lot of night creams, it didn't sit on top of the skin and slowly seep in. I actually find that it plays much nicer with sunscreen and makeup than the coordinating Hydrating Day Cream. After finishing the jar quite quickly (about five weeks, split between me and Morgan), I will say I think Derma E's Hydrating Night Cream is basic in the best kind of way. This moisturizer didn't provide any amazing results - neither of us look sixteen again, but it does a fantastic job of nourishing and moisturizing the skin. Each application of the Hydrating Night Cream left me with glowy, plump skin. Though it was quite heavy, with a decent amount of oil in it, this moisturizer never congested my spot prone skin, in fact my skin was almost perfect for my entire run with this product! I loved this moisturizer from start to finish.

The formula of this moisturizer is vitamin rich with lots of great ingredients. This night cream has a base of water, macadamia oil, and glycerin, thickened up with a handful of non problematic texture enhancers. A healthy dose of water binding hyaluronic acid is followed by Vitamins C, E, A, and B. Green tea, aloe, jojoba oil, and allantoin are included to further hydrate the skin while also infusing some antioxidant properties. "Natural Fragrance Oils" are the final ingredient in this moisturizer - Derma E doesn't specify what essential oils they are, but I can tell you that they're included in a minimal concentration (>1%) and give off only the faintest hint of a fragrance.

I thoroughly enjoyed Derma E's Hydrating Night Cream! This lovely moisturizer is an excellent choice for normal to dry skin, or any skin type that's feeling needy in winter months. The ingredient list is full of vitamins and soothing, hydrating ingredients - I think it would fare well with most sensitive skins as well - there's very little to disagree with. If you're looking for an anti-aging wonder cream to use at night, Derma E's Hydrating Night Cream won't be it - but it is a great standard moisturizer for day or night. While this moisturizer is on the pricier side, I would certainly repurchase it next time Priceline has it on a good offer.
