B.Līv O2 Bubbly Bright Oxygenating Mask Review

B.Līv says "give your skin a new breath of life with this purifying mask that combines oxygen bubble and rice powder to brighten and enliven complexion. upon application, experience the magic as it fizzes into soft foam soaking up impurities while the red soft beads gently melt away to exfoliate your skin, leaving you with soft, smoother and glowing skin." The O2 Bubbly Bright Oxygenating Mask contains 50g (1.7oz) of product and retails for $39USD. B.Līv products are not cruelty free. This bubble mask was made in Korea.

The O2 Bubbly Bright Oxygenating Mask comes in a small white pot with a twist on lid. Packaging is quite plain as a whole, and quite different from all of the other bubble masks that I've tried, which have had some sort of pump dispenser. B.Līv kindly included a little spatula along with this bubble mask - this little scooper is key to preventing product contamination and wastage - the O2 Bubbly Bright mask will start to foam up on contact with the skin, and dipping into the pot can potentially ruin the product. All packaging is recyclable.
I've tried a handful of Bubble Masks from ELF, Exuviance, and Bliss, and I expected B.Līv's offering to be pretty similar - but it isn't! Opening the little white tub, you'll find a light pink mousse that strongly resembles strawberry sherbet - not at all what I was expecting! The O2 Bubbly Bright Oxygenating Mask has a rich, creamy consistency similar to a luxurious moisturizer; it spreads over the skin beautifully and has an immediate cooling sensation. This bubble mask has a slightly delayed reaction to oxygenation - it doesn't foam up immediately, in fact I'd say it takes at least a minute for that effervescent, tickly feeling to begin. B.Līv's bubble mask builds up to a thick foam that lasts much longer than the five to ten minutes the brand says it will - if you plan on letting this mask completely fizzle out, prepare to wait at least twenty minutes. Once this bubble mask's foam has reduced to a light film, it's time to rinse - the O2 Bubbly Bright Oxygenating Mask lathers back up on contact with water into a soft foam cleanser that's a little difficult to rinse - I usually take a wash cloth to it to get every trace off.
Generally speaking, I'm pretty skeptical of bubble masks like B.Līv's O2 Bubbly Bright Oxygenating Mask. While I acknowledge that this type of mask has a strong novelty factor, bubble masks usually don't yield any results for me - but that hasn't been the case with B.Līv's offering! I used this bubble mask sporadically since I received it, but after using it every night for a week I've definitely noticed a difference in my skin. My skin tone is brighter and more even, and my pores are gone? Seriously, they've been reduced to near invisibility! B.Līv claims that their O2 bubble mask works by foaming down into the pores, pulling out all the gunk and grime, and washing it away - and while that seems a little farfetch'd to me, it does seem to be the case!

Not going to lie, I feel a little overwhelmed when I look at the O2 Bubbly Bright mask's ingredient list. This bubble mask has a lot going on. O2 Bubbly Bright is mostly made up of a water, glycerins, and a foaming agent. Following some thickeners and texture enhancers, this foaming mask contains a variety of great botanical extracts and conditioning ingredients ranging from hydrating hyaluronic acid and sunflower seed oil to brightening licorice and acne fighting willowbark extracts. I feel like this paragraph will drag on forever if I were to go super indepth on the ingredients, so I'll try to wrap it up by saying there are a bunch of beneficial ingredients within the O2 Bubbly Bright Oxygenating Mask, but there are also a handful of problematic inclusions, like lavender and rosemary extracts, which can cause cellular damage. B.Līv's bubble mask is fragrance free and doesn't have a detectable scent.
B.Līv's O2 Bubbly Bright Oxygenating Mask is far and away the best bubble mask that I've tried so far! This foaming face mask deep cleans the pores, and with extended use it can reduce the appearance of them. Personally I don't need a product like this on a regular basis, but it's something I'll rotate in and out of my routine as needed. If congested and enlarged pores are one of your top skincare concerns, or you're just into trying unique Asian beauty products, B.Līv's O2 Bubbly Bright Oxygenating Mask is a fun and effective choice!
