Borghese Simmer+Spark Eclissare ColorGlass Lip Gloss Review+Swatches

Borghese says "lustrous and captivating, Eclissare ColorGlass Lip Gloss is a hydrating lip gloss that offers high shine and color. Ultra reflective pigment and pearl deliver a luminous glow." The Eclissare ColorGlass Lip Glosses are available in nine shades, today's post features Simmer and Spark. Each Eclissare ColorGlass Lip Gloss contains 3.25ml (.10 fl oz) and retails for $21.50 on the brand's website. Borghese is not cruelty free. These glosses are made in America.
These mid range lip glosses have simple, attractive packaging. Borghese's Eclissare ColorGlass Lip Glosses come in long, round, clear plastic tubes with ombre caps that fade from dark grey to bronze. These Borghese logo and product name are printed on the tube in black lettering; the shade name can be found on the base of the tube. The Eclissare ColorGlass Lip Glosses come with basic doefoot applicators. Packaging is not recyclable.
I reviewed four Borghese Eclissare ColorGlass Lip Glosses last year, and my opinions haven't really changed. These glosses have a thin but moderately tacky formula that the brand claims is moisturizing, but I actually find them a little bit drying. This gloss' sticky consistency helps them last about two and a half hours without transferring off or slipping around on the lips. The Eclissare ColorGlass Lip Glosses have an effervescent, sweet orange scent, but no flavor.
Borghese Simmer Eclissare ColorGlass Lip Gloss Lip Swatch
Simmer is a clear gloss loaded with white gold and silver shimmer. This gloss doesn't offer much in terms of color payoff, its more of a sparkling topper for other lip colors. Simmer is similar to Chaos from the same line of glosses, but lighter and warmer toned.
Borghese Spark Eclissare ColorGlass Lip Gloss Lip Swatch
Spark is a sheer, warm taupe shade with silver shimmer. Spark is less glittery than the rest of the Eclissare ColorGlass glosses, but it still has a high shine, shimmering finish. I actually really like this color on it's own, and I've been reaching for it pretty often!
The Borghese Eclissare ColorGlass Lip Glosses are just alright in my opinion. These glosses wear well, but their color payoff and texture don't impress me, especially not considering their $20+ price tag. If you fall in love with a shade and aren't put off by the price, there's no reason not to pick it up, but I don't think the Eclissare ColorGlass Lip Glosses are worth going out of your way for.
