Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex 10-in-1 Renewal System Shampoo Review

Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex Shampoo
Shea Moisture's Superfruit Complex 10-in-1 Renewal System Shampoo is an "antioxidant rich shampoo" that "helps to perfect and renew vibrancy to dull, lackluster hair. When used in our 10-IN-1 RENEWAL SYSTEM it provides Sulfate-free cleansing, anti-aging benefits, color protection, hydration, nourishment, rejuvenation, anti-stress, manageability and softness without build up. Our Superfruit Complex helps nourish the scalp while Marula Oil and Biotin combine in a moisture-rich formulation to support hair's elasticity. Hair looks vibrant and lustrous". The Superfruit Complex 10-in-1 Renewal System Shampoo is available in three sizes - travel size (3.2 fl oz/94 ml; $3.99), regular (13 fl oz/ 385 ml; $10.99). and family size (16 fl oz/475 ml; $11.99). Shea Moisture products can be purchased at Ulta, Target, and most major drugstore chains. Shea Moisture is cruelty free, and is proud to create natural, fair trade products. This shampoo was made in the United States.

This shampoo comes in a clear bottle with a pour spout. A violet label wraps around the bottle - yellow lettering spells out the Shea Moisture logo and product name on the front of the label; a description and ingredient can be found on the back. This shampoo's packaging is recyclable.

Shea Moisture's Superfruit Complex 10-in-1 Renewal System Shampoo is a thin, beige liquid. This is the most watery shampoo I have ever come across - honestly its difficult to use because it's just so fluid. Not only that, but I also need to use a ton of this shampoo per wash - about a palm full of product for my long, thick hair. Being a sulfate-free shampoo, the Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex 10-in-1 Renewal System Shampoo produces very little lather, but the suds it does create are easily rinsed out. This shampoo has a soft, natural berry scent.

Unfortunately, this shampoo does nothing for me and my normal, henna colored hair. After my hair has dried, it feels silky and clean to the touch, and it looks healthy and shiny, but quite flat. Within jut a few hours, my hair is greasy, and looks completely unwashed without a healthy dose of dry shampoo. While testing this shampoo, I've had to wash my hair pretty much every day - for reference, I usually wash my hair only two or three times a week. The frequent washing hasn't been kind to my hair, it's been more prone to tangling and a little drier than usual - I don't think it has anything to do with this shampoo's formula or ingredients; my hair just isn't used to this kind of treatment.

Shea Moisture's Superfruit Complex 10-in-1 Renewal System Shampoo is not for me - actually I don't think it's for most people. This sulfate free shampoo is too gentle to sufficiently cleanse my hair. The somewhat moisturizing formula may benefit those with dry hair, but if you have normal to oily hair you'll need a more effective product.
