Make Up For Ever Copper Pink (N9) Rouge Artist Natural Lipstick Review+Swatches

Make Up For Ever's Rouge Artist Natural Lipsticks are an "An ultra-creamy lipstick with a translucent soft, shiny finish. Enriched with nourishing properties, Rouge Artist Natural keeps lips hydrated for eight hours after application. Its incredibly smooth texture glides on effortlessly for ultimate comfort while also leaving the lips supple and moisturized. Formulated with mother-of-pearl and colorful pigments, Rouge Artist Natural's translucent shine adds a natural sheen to the lips." Make Up For Ever's Rouge Artist Natural Lipsticks have a huge shade range - over 55 colors are available! Today I'm reviewing N9, also known as Copper Pink. The Rouge Artist Natural Lipsticks contain 3.5 grams of product and retail for $20 at Sephora and Make Up For Ever boutiques. Unfortunately, MUFE is not cruelty free. This lipstick was made in France.

Make Up For Ever's Rouge Artist Natural Lipsticks have simple, sleek, square black plastic tubes. The brand logo wraps around the cap in stark white lettering. The shade number can be found on the bottom of the tube.
It was love at first application for Copper Pink and I! This lipstick has such a lightweight, smooth formula that glides on, depositing the perfect amount of color. MUFE's Copper Pink (N9) is so close to being opaque, but it isn't quite there, which is my personal preference when it comes to color payoff. The Rouge Artist Natural formula is so comfortable, and fairly hydrating as well, making it a great choice for day to day wear. Unfortunately, I don't find MUFE'S N9 Rouge Artist Lipstick to be very long wearing, it usually lasts between one and two hours on me. This creamy lipstick transfers off and it definitely has the potential to slide out of the lip lines - a lip liner or lip primer is definitely a good idea here. The Rouge Artist Natural lipsticks have a typical lipstick scent and flavor that are barely noticeable.
Copper Pink (N9) is a medium, warm pink with a tan influence. This lipstick has a delicate satin finish that really suits the color. Copper Pink actually pulls quite brick-ish on my lips, it doesn't quite show in my lip swatch below. I think N9 is a universally flattering, 90s inspired shade - it was a great choice to include in Sephora's birthday gift last year.
Make Up For Ever's Rouge Artist Natural Lipstick in N9 really took me by surprise. I expected the formula to be good, don't get me wrong, but I didn't think I'd fall head over heels for this brown tinged pink shade. My only complaint is the wear time - I wish MUFE's lipstick lasted a bit longer. For a high end lipstick, Make Up For Ever's Rouge Artist Naturals are reasonably priced, I'll definitely be swatching more of these next time I'm in Sephora - and so should you!
