L'Oreal Age Perfect Cell Renewal Day Cream Review

L'Oreal says "Draw the line at dull, dry, tired skin. Now, restore resilience, radiance and vitality with Age Perfect Cell Renewal. Age Perfect Cell Renewal Day Cream maximizes skin's power of rejuvenation by stimulating surface skin cell renewal to reveal more youthful looking skin, while keeping skin hydrated all day long. Instantly, skin feels smoother, more supple. In 1 month, skin appears renewed, vibrant and full of life." This daytime moisturizer offers SPF 15 broad spectrum sun protection. L'Oreal's Age Perfect Cell Renewal Day Cream contains 1.7 fl oz (48 grams) and sells for around $25 at drugstores and major retailers. L'Oreal is not cruelty free. This moisturizer was made in the USA.

L'Oreal's Age Perfect Cell Renewal Day Cream comes in a weighty, gold plastic jar. The L'Oreal logo is engraved into the metallic cap. The product name is printed on the front of the jar. The sunscreen ingredients are listed on the back of the jar (the full ingredient list can be found on the outer box). Unfortunately, all this bulky packaging isn't recyclable (or sanitary).
The Age Perfect Cell Renewal Day Cream is a thick, off white cream that spreads over the skin so nicely. This "day cream" takes up to HALF AN HOUR to sink in all the way, leaving skin feeling kinda greasy. I don't know, maybe its just me, but I think a day cream needs to absorb quickly so you can apply your makeup and get out the door - I got stuff to do! Moving on...L'Oreal's Age Perfect Cell Renewal Day Cream has sunk in, it leaves my kin feeling soft, bouncy, and fully hydrated. This moisturizer is so long lasting, too! I can remove my makeup and wash my face 8, 10, and 12 hours after applying the Age Perfect Cell Renewal Day Cream and my skin is still feeling soft and quenched. When it comes to anti aging and ~cell renewal~, I can't say that I've noticed a real improvement in my skin - but I haven't had any negative effects either, and right now that's good enough for me. My only real complaint about this moisturizer is it's overpoweringly strong, perfumey fragrance - it isn't bad, just too strong and unnecessary (not to mention, potentially irritating).
L'Oreal's Age Perfect Cell Renewal Day Cream is pretty good, but it definitely isn't for everyone. If you have normal to dry skin that isn't sensitive to fragrance, L'Oreal's Age Perfect Cell Renewal Day Cream could be a real treat. This moisturizer is a skip for anyone else though - its too fragrant for sensitive skin, too heavy for oily and combo complexions, and generally inconvenient for day to day use.
