Urban Decay Anti Aging Primer Potion Review

Urban Decay says "meet your new best friend (with benefits). Get 24 hours of vibrant, crease-free shadow and minimize the appearance of wrinkles in 8 weeks. This formula not only locks shadow in place to give you vibrant, crease-free color that lasts all day; it also measurably improves the signs of aging over time. High-tech ingredients fight wrinkles and improve tone and texture, while optical blurring pigments create a subtle, soft-focus effect that instantly wakes up tired eyes and minimizes the appearance of redness, crepiness and other imperfections." The Anti Aging Primer Potion is available in two sizes - the full size contains 11ml and costs $24, but a 6ml travel size is also offered for $13. Urban Decay is cruelty free, though it's parent company, L'Oreal, is not. This eye primer was made in the USA.

Urban Decay's Anti Aging Primer Potion comes in a dark purple squeeze tube with a unique siler cap. The product name and Urban Decay logo are printed on the tube in silver lettering.
The Anti Aging Primer Potion isn't too different from Urban Decay's iconic Original Primer Potion, which is a beloved product for a reason, its great! The consistency of this primer is just a little different, the Anti Aging Primer Potion has a thin, moist texture that helps it spread onto the eyelid smoothly. This eye primer has a warm, flesh colored tint to it that blends away to a transparent sheen. In spite of it's slightly slick texture, it grasps eyeshadows well, preventing fallout, increasing payoff, and helping stubborn shadows to blend with ease. The Anti Aging Primer Potion helps most cream and powder eyeshadows last all day without fading and creasing,

When it comes to this product's anti aging benefits, I can't really comment. I've only been using this eyeshadow primer for a little over two weeks, and my sample is running dry, so I can't give it the full eight weeks Urban Decay advises. I have my doubts that any eyeshadow primer can really improve the condition of your skin. I will say that UD's Anti Aging Primer Potion is brightening and hydrating, and an all around good eye primer, regardless of it's skincare properties.

Urban Decay's Anti Aging Primer Potion is pretty good! The formula is nice, and it does everything that a good eye primer should. Will it really reduce fine lines? I'm not sure, probably not. I only recommend the Anti Aging Primer Potion if you have dry eyelids, otherwise stick with the Original Primer Potion, which works just as well, but is a couple bucks cheaper.
