Malin+Goetz Mojito Lip Balm Review

Malin+Goetz' Mojito Lip Balm is the brand's #1 best selling product! According to Malin+Goetz, their Mojito Lip Balm is "as soothing to the lips as it is to the senses. Flavored with (Malin+Goetz) Mojito, our lip balm is scientifically blended to restore and replenish. Our hydrating lip gel easily integrates for daily maintenance, prevention, and treatment of dry, irritated lips. Color and paraben free." Malin+Goetz also mentions that this product can be used as both a balm and a gloss. The Mojito Lip Balm contains 7ml (.20 fl oz) and sells for $14. I received this lip balm in an Ipsy Bag. Malin+Goetz does not test on animals. This product was made in America.

Malin+Goetz Mojito Lip Balm comes in an opaque white squeeze tube with a slant tip applicator. The product name and Malin+Goetz logo are printed on the front of the tube in blue and yellow lettering. A full ingredient list is printed on the back of the recyclable tube.

The Mojito Lip Balm is nice, I quite like it, though I prefer it as a gloss than as a balm. This lip balm has a slightly thick, gel like texture that feels smooth and plush on the lips, not very balmy to be honest. That doesn't mean that this product isn't moisturizing. The Mojito Lip Balm imparts light, but effective moisture, and it's thick consistency really helps to lock in the hydration. This heavy lip balm's clear, glossy shine lasts up to three hours and doesn't transfer off, it stick to the lips very well without feeling tacky. Malin+Goetz Mojito Lip Balm has a light, but delicious lime flavor.

Malin+Goetz Mojito Lip Balm is a great clear, hydrating gloss. I love layering this balm over matte, dry lipsticks to add shine and moisture. This balm/gloss hybrid is great as a bedtime treatment, or to toss on before heading out into cold, brisk, winter weather. I classify the Mojito Lip Balm as more of a preventative product than as a healing treatment. I'll consider repurchasing Malin+Goetz Mojito Lip Balm, or I might redeem some IpsyPoints for it. If you want a glossy balm, but don't require a ton of moisture, the Mojito Lip Balm might be worth trying.
