ELF Day to Night Essential Eyeshadow Quad Review+Swatches

ELF says their Essential Eyeshadow Quads have a "luxurious, smooth, pigmented formula" that "provides your eyes with a bright and beautiful sweep of rich color. The formula blends into skin for a long lasting, beautiful effect. Each quad is comprised of 4 coordinating shades that allow for both natural and dramatic looks." ELF offers six shade combinations, today I'm writing about Day to Night. These quads contain 2.5 grams of product and cost just a buck! ELF is cruelty free and all of their products are vegan friendly. This eyeshadow quad was made in China.

ELF's Essential Eyeshadow Quads come in white plastic palettes with a clear flip top. The ELF logo and product name are printed on the lid in silver lettering. The shade name can be found on a tiny label on the back of the compact. The four eyeshadows are split up into small, triangular that are aesthetically pleasing, but difficult to fit a brush into. A tiny, poor quality mirror is included, as well as a double ended sponge tip applicator.
Day to Night is the best ELF Quad I've tried so far - all four shades have great payoff and user friendly textures. None of the shadows in this four pan palette cause any fallout, and they blend well while maintaining their original intensity. When worn over primer, these eyeshadows do not fade, but they do start to crease after about seven hours.

Shade 1 is a warm, parchment beige with gold shimmer. This is beautiful all over color, and it also makes an excellent highlight for the brow bone. This eyeshadow is very soft and easy to manipulate on the lid.

Shade 2 is a deep burgundy that leans a little more towards the brown end of the spectrum. This shade has just a touch of fine gold shimmer that doesn't really transfer to the eye. This shade has the strongest pigmentation of the four shadows.

Shade 3 is a blacked forest green with a matte finih. This eyeshadow has good pigmentation, but its a little stiff, causing it to go on a little patchily. Day to Night's deep green makes a lovely, soft eyeliner.

Shade 4 is a shimmering, medium bronze with gold shimmer. This eyeshadow has a particularly excellent formula, soft and very pigmented, its a treat to work with.
ELF's Day to Night Quad is quite nice, the best the brand ,makes in my opinion. All four eyeshadows are pigmented and blendable and last well. The color combination is beautiful, versatile, and true to the palette's name - you can create a wide range of looks, from natural to smokey, with this quad. ELF's Day to Night Quad is worth your time and your dollar, pick it up next time you pop into Target or place an ELF order. You really can't go wrong with this great, basic eyeshadow quad.
