Pixi Sage Gold Endless Silky Eye Pencil Review+Swatches

Pixi's Endless Silky Eye Pencils are "waterproof, super long wear, no smudge, no budge eyeliners. They glide on like seamless silk and in a single sweep motion create a solid jewel toned line. No retouching required all day - or night! Gentle on eyes, yet intensely coloured and super silky." Pixi's pencil liners contain 1.2 grams (.04 oz) and sell for $12. Pixi offers fourteen shades, this review is for Sage Gold. Pixi is cruelty free. The Endless silky Eye Pencils are made in Germany.

Pixi's Endless Silky Eye Pencils are traditional wooden pencils with a spring green coating, The Pixi logo and a small floral print decorate the pencil. The plastic end of the pencil is color matched so you'll always be able to track down whatever shade you need. These pencil liners sharpen nicely, but they're very soft, so the tip snaps off easily.
Pixi's Endless Silky Eyeliners have stolen my heart completely - they're by far my favorite pencil liners. Sage Gold isn't as smooth as the other Endless Silky Eye Pencils I've used, actually its a little gritty. In spite of the rougher texture, Sage Gold is still easy to apply. Color payoff is also a bit weaker, you need two passes instead of one for an opaque line. This liner is smudgeable for about 20 seconds after application, after that it sets in place and is entirely budge proof.  I get great wear from Sage Gold, about eight to nine hours without smudging or fading. Pixi's Endless Silky Eye Pencils are waterproof and can be difficult to remove.

Sage Gold is described as a "deep golden green." I'd call it an olive green with a load of chunky gold and light green shimmer. The glitter particles are quite large, so I wouldn't recommend using this pencil on the waterline. Sage Gold is a really cool and interesting way to wear a pop of color without it being too bold.
Pixi's Sage Gold Endless Silky Eye Pencil isn't as silky or pigmented as other shades in the range, but its still a decent pencil. Even though its glittery to the point of being gritty, it still applies with ease. Sage Gold is an interesting and flattering neutral shade, I reach for it pretty often. I'm not sure if I'd pick up a backup, though the way I'm blowing through this pencil seems like a yes. If you're a fan of olive greens or want an out of the ordinary neutral liner, you need Pixi's Endless Silky Eye Pencil in Sage Gold.
