Be a Bombshell Submissive Eye Base Review+Swatches

Be a Bombshell describes their Eye Bases as "a high pigmented, long lasting product that can be used as a single cream color or used as an eye base to build color." Be a Bombshell's Eye Bases are available in six shades, my review is for Submissive. This cream shadow contains 2.5 grams and costs $14. I received the Submissive Eye Base in an Ipsy Bag. Be a Bombshell is cruelty free. This product was made in China.

Be a Bombshell's Eye Bases have simple but nice packaging. This cream shadow comes in a weighty glass jar with a black screw on cap. The cap, which bears a sexy lady leaning against the letter B, twists on tightly, preventing the base from drying out. All packaging is recyclable.
Be a Bombshell's Submissive Eye Base has a great Texture! Very creamy, yet still lightweight, almost gel like. The soft, pliable cream shadow is very easy to blend with either fingers or a stiff brush. Submissive is on the sheer side and it can go on a little patchy. This cream shadow definitely needs a primer to remain crease free for more than five hours on me. While Submissive provides a nice, sheer wash of color on it's own, I feel like this cream shadow performs much better as a base. Submissive grasps powder eyeshadows well, helping to intensify their payoff while they help prevent creasing. This cream base seems like it may be waterproof, it certainly puts up a fight when it comes to removal!
Submissive is described as a "intense, creamy bronze with gold shimmer." To me, it looks like a sheer, tarnished bronze color with plenty of fine golden shimmer. Very pretty, very neutral, a great stand alone shade. Submissive pairs very well with Inglot's Pearl 433 Eyeshadow and Urban Decay's Naked 2 Palette. This shade is very comparable to Maybelline's Bad to the Bronze Color Tattoo, though payoff is not as strong.
I love Submissive's color, but am torn on the formula. This cream shadow's texture is great and easy to work with, but its quite sheer and is prone to creasing when worn alone. Used as a base, Be a Bombshell's Submissive is awesome, it really helps to pop any neutral eyeshadow you layer over it. That being said, I don't recommend Be a Bombshell's Eye Base in Submissive, since Maybelline offers an extremely similar shade with a superior formula, for half the price or less.
