Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer Review+Swatches (Ivory)

Rimmel London's Wake Me Up Concealer has an "instant anti-fatigue effect with peptides and vitamin moisturising complex. Visibly reawakens and illuminates under the eyes. Completely conceals spots and other blemishes." This concealer is available in five shades (only three in Australia, where I picked mine up in the lightest shade, Ivory). The Wake Me Up Concealer contains 7ml (.23 fl oz) and sells for $5 USD ($14.95 AUD). Rimmel is not cruelty free. The Wake Me Up Concealer is made in England.

Rimmel's Wake Me Up Concealer comes in a clear plastic tub with a bright orange cap. The Rimmel logo and product name are printed on the front of the tube in silver lettering. A product description is printed on the side of the tube. A doe foot applicator is attached to the eye catching cap. All packaging is recyclable.
Rimmel makes some dang good concealers! This concealer is thin, moist, and very easy to work with! I've used Rimmel's Wake Me Up Concealer with a range of tools - fingers, brushes, a Beauty Blender, and it always blends into the skin beautifully. Wake Me Up really melds with the skin, it looks like there's no product on the skin, while providing good coverage! Rimmel says the Wake Me Up Concealer offers full coverage, but I'd classify it as medium coverage that can be built up to full. This liquid concealer layers nicely, it doesn't get cakey or more noticeable. Rimmel's Wake Me Up Concealer is a great multi-tasker, it can be used to mask redness, cover under eye circles, and conceal blemishes. I like this liquid concealer best for the under eye area, the consistency and coverage level are just right. Wake Me Up covers redness and discoloration fairly well, but I have better concealers for masking raised blemishes - Wake Me Up is just too thin to effectively cover up textural issues. This concealer wears pretty well on me, lasting about seven to eight hours when set with a powder, and it does not crease.
Rimmel usually has a pretty good color match for me, and the Wake Me Up Concealer in Ivory works out pretty well! This is a fair, yellow toned shade. Applied heavily, you'll notice that there is some very fine shimmer mixed into this concealer, but it just about disappears completely once the product is blended in. The finish of this concealer is quite natural, there's just a slight dewiness that can be easily canceled with a light dusting of powder. The yellowy tone of this concealer is great for color correction - its just enough to help neutralize redness and brighten dark under eyes.

Rimmel's Wake Me Up Concealer is good! Packaging is simple and functional, but not too plain. This liquid concealer is so easy to work with - it always blends flawlessly! Coverage is great, medium buildable with a natural finish. This has been my go to under eye concealer since I bought it in late October, and I think it will be for a while. I hope I can find a match in the American range. This concealer is so affordable, I'll almost definitely repurchase it. Rimmel's Wake Me Up Concealer is definitely worth checking out.
