Rimmel Drive Me Nude Lasting Finish Colour Rush Intense Colour Balm Review+Swatches

Rimmel has hopped on the jumbo lip crayon train with their new Lasting Finish Colour Rush Intense Colour Balms. Speaking of intense, how about that name? Anyways, Rimmel says their lip crayons provide "lightweight, long lasting intense colour and moisture. Intensely smooth, lasting balm that is comfortable to wear all day. Colour Rush for hours in 14 high voltage shades." Today I'm reviewing Drive Me Nude. These lip crayons contain 2.5 grams and sell for $13AUD or $6USD. Rimmel is not cruelty free.

The Lasting Finish Colour Rush Intense Colour Balms have pretty standard lip crayon packaging. Round plastic tubes that twist product up and down. The product name was written on two sides of the tube in silver lettering, but it rubbed off rather quickly, so excuse the poor appearance in my photos. For some reason, the shade name and number were not indicated anywhere on this jumbo lip crayon, which is common among Rimmel lip products for some odd reason. I believe the packaging is recyclable.
Rimmel's Colour Rush Intense Colour Balms have a pretty basic formula, and I mean that in the best possible way. This jumbo lip crayon has a smooth, moist texture that helps this lip color just melt into the lips. Rimmel's Colour Balms really do feel like balms, kinda similar to BeneBalms - truly hydrating and very comfortable. I get pretty short wear from Drive Me Nude, about an hour and a half to two hours. Color wears away evenly and does not transfer or slide around on the lips. Rimmel's lip crayons have a light, sweet vanilla scent a flavor.
Drive Me Nude is a creamy, cool toned, mauve-y nude that's really flattering on fair skin. It swatches a little more tan than it shows up on my lips. This shade is shimmer free. Drive Me Nude has a medium, non-buildable color payoff.
I really like Rimmel's Lasting Finish Colour Rush Intense Colour Balm in Drive Me Nude. Easy to apply and comfortable to wear. I love this cool nude's creamy finish - it suits me well and I wear it very often. I'd like to try more from this jumbo lip crayon line. I also want to try more nude toned lip colors. If you want an easy, cool toned nude, you probably want to check out Drive Me Nude.
