Pixi Flawless Beauty Powder Review+Swatches (Fair)

Pixi's Flawless Beauty Powder "looks like real skin, just better. It evens out skin tone and keeps skin shine-free for hours. Containing an innovative mix of translucent, coated air-light pigments, Vitamin E and strong UV-protection, it enhances and helps to protect the skin. Leaves an invisible, smooth, shine-free and youthful finish. Suitable for all skin types & ages due to its unique light-diffusing pigments and re-hydrating formula." This face powder is available in three shades, my reviews features the lightest one; Fair. . The Flawless Beauty Powder has been discontinued, but its still easy to find online - it even pops up on Hautelook from time to time, which is where I picked mine up. This pressed powder contains 9.8 grams (.35 oz) and sold for $22. Pixi is a cruelty free brand.
Pixi's Flawless Beauty Powder has good packaging. The square, spring green compact has a gold pixi and the brand logo printed on the front of the compact. Opening the compact reveals a square pan of powder and a small mirror that's usable, but could be better. Below this is a slide out pan that houses a square sponge. Though it may seem bulky, there's actually very little excess packaging. This powder's compact is convenient and sturdy, making it great for on the go - and its recyclable!
Pixi's Flawless Beauty Powder is lovely, its firmly pressed and exceptionally smooth - it kicks up next to no excess powder. Brush or sponge, there is no wrong way to apply this powder. Lately I've been buffing it in with Bdellium Tools' Precision Kabuki Brush, a method that provides medium coverage. Depending on how you apply the Flawless Beauty Powder, you can get sheer to medium coverage with a natural, matte, skin-like finish. Never cakey, this powder doesn't settle into lines or enhance dryness. The Flawless Beauty Powder is great on it's own, or for setting foundation, but either way it isn't great for controlling oil. Worn on it's own,  Pixi's pressed powder wears for two to three hours; over foundation it lasts closer to five.
Fair is a great color for me. A pale, neutral ivory shade, it suits me to a tee!
Pixi's Flawless Beauty Powder is lovely, its such a shame that this powder has been discontinued. This pressed powder has an awesome texture. Coverage is customizable. Fair is perfect for me, so I've been wearing Pixi's Flawelss Beauty Powder constantly. I really do love it, and I've already put quite a dent into it. If this powder comes up on HauteLook again, I'll definitely repurchase it! Please check this powder out if you have fair skin.
