Coola SPF 20 Mineral Sunscreen Moisturizer Review

Coola says "Keep the sun and environment at bay with this SPF 20 broad-spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen; a clear, Titanium Dioxide based formula (for those who are Zinc sensitive) made with 98% natural ingredients. Organic Acai Oil - high in Omegas-3/6/9, Vitamins B1/2/3, plus antioxidant Vitamins C and E - delivers a powerful defense against aging. Organic Sunflower Seed Extract promotes elasticity while organic Linseed Oil, containing Alpha-Linolenic Acids, reduces redness and irritation. The phyto-protector Plankton Extract rejuvenates, as organic Cucumber Extract calms skin." This organic mineral sunscreen contains 1.7fl oz (50ml) and sells for $36. I received a sample of this sunscreen in an Ipsy Bag. Coola is a cruelty free, environmentally friendly brand. This sunscreen was made in the USA. Coola is available for purchase on the brand's website,, and at Ulta.

Coola's packaging style is very attractive. The full size of this mineral sunscreen comes in a beautiful, light blue tube with a pump. My sample came in a white squeeze tube, the Coola logo is printed vertically on the tube in metallic blue lettering. A list of just the organic ingredients, and a couple warnings are printed on the back of the tube. All Coola packaging is recyclable.
Coola's Mineral Sunscreen Moisturizer is a thin, white lotion. This sunscreen sinks in very quickly, though there's a mild tackiness that lasts for a few minutes after application. Even though Coola says this mineral sunscreen won't give skin a white cast, it does. It isn't noticeable on my fair skin, but ti'd be way more apparent on darker skin. This sunscreen causes flashback in photos. This product is adequately moisturizing, really nothing special in that respect. This mineral sunscreen's SPF 20 delivers good sun protection, even in hard Sydney sun I've never gotten anything close to a sunburn while wearing Coola's Mineral Sunscreen Moisturizer. This product is fragrance free, but it has a light, oat like scent.
Coola's Mineral Sunscreen Moisturizer with SPF 20 is a functional product, it provides good hydration and sun protection. There are several beneficial, organic ingredients in this sunscreen, however, they drive up the cost to $36, which is overpriced for 50ml of a sunscreen that performs no better or worse than any other facial sunscreen I've tried. For that reason, I don't recommend Coola's Mineral Sunscreen Moisturizer.
