Be a Bombshell Shameless Lip Crayon Review+Swatches

Be a Bombshell's Lip Crayons are "glossy lip crayons" with "a smooth texture." There are six shades to snap up, my review is for Shameless. These lip crayons contain 2.5 grams (.09 oz) and retail for $14. I received this jumbo lip crayon in an Ipsy Bag. Be a Bombshell does not test on animals. This product was made in China.

Be a Bombshell's Lip Crayons come in a black plastic tube with a clear plastic cap. Product is meant to twist up, but my crayon is jammed. The Be a Bombshell logo is printed on the front of the tube in silver lettering. The shade name can be found on the back of the tube. Packaging is not recyclable.
I've tried a ton of jumbo lip crayons from a variety of brands and I've come to the conclusion that its hard to make a bad one. Be a Bombshell's Lip Crayon is pretty average as far as lip crayons go. This lipstick has a smooth texture that's easy to apply. Shameless gives off full color coverage in just one layer. Be a Bombshell's Lip Crayon feels soft and moist on the lips, though as it wears, the moisture level drops off. I was quite surprised at how well Shameless wears on me, I've had it last for as long as four hours. This lip color doesn't smear or feather, and rarely transfers off the lips - and it fades away evenly! Be a Bombshell's Lip Crayons don't have a flavor, but they have a sickening, Lysol like scent, which luckily isn't that strong.
Be a Bombshell describes Shameless as a "burgundy with shimmer". I'd hardly call Shameless a burgundy, to me its more of a cool, mid toned berry with small but plentiful silver shimmer particles. The individual shimmery bits aren't too noticeable on the lips, they come together to form a lightly frosted finish.
Be a Bombshell's Lip Crayon isn't a standout product, but its good. The quality of the packing is terrible, but I can't say the same about what my malfunctioning tube contains. This lip crayon applies and wears quite well. This frosted berry lip crayon has great color payoff, and a lightly moisturizing feel - definitely the kind of lip product you want on hand in fall or winter. As much praise as I have for this product, it has two factors that would hold me back from recommending it or trying other shades in the line - the smell, and the cost. This jumbo lip crayon smells like a cleaning product, and not in that pleasant lemony fresh way. Plus, as I mentioned earlier, its not hard to find a great lip crayon. Why pay $14 for one that smells like disinfectant, when there are cheaper, better smelling options for far less?
