Rimmel Guilty Grey ScandalEyes Eyeshadow Stick Review

Rimmel ScandalEyes Eyeshadow Sticks are waterproof cream eyeshadows. Rimmel describes the formula as "rich intense colour" that "applies in a flash. Creamy formula blends effortlessly for a luminous finish. Jumbo applicator creates a dramatic look in just one stroke. Can be used as an eyeshadow or eyeliner." There's nine shades to choose from, this post features Guilty Grey. Each ScandalEyes Eyeshadow Stick contains 3.25 grams (.11 oz) and cost $4.50 or so. Rimmel is not cruelty free. This cream shadow crayon was made in France.

Rimmel's ScandalEyes Eyeshadow Sticks come in black wooden pencils with clear caps. The bottom of the pencil is color matched to make shade identification easy. Product and shade names are printed on the pencil in silver letters. These jumbo eye crayons sharpen smoothly in any double barreled pencil sharpener. Packaging is recyclable.
I've become addicted to these cream shadow crayons. I'm not really big on cream shadows, but Rimmel's ScandalEyes Eyeshadow Sticks have been a game changer. Guilty Grey has a creamy but thin consistency that makes it easy to apply and blend. I prefer to work with my fingers with this shade, it sheers out too easily when I use a brush. Guilty Grey is quite pigmented, though color payoff is customizable. I get excellent wear from Rimmel's ScandalEyes cream shadows, it doesn't seem to matter if I use a primer or not, I get a full day of creaseless, smudge-free wear. Using the ScandalEyes Eyeshadow Sticks as a base for powder eyeshadows increases their longevity even more, while increasing the intensity of the eyeshadow. Rimmel doesn't lie when they call their Shadow Sticks waterproof - removing them can be a struggle.
Guilty Grey is a cool toned, deep grey with small but abundant flecks of silver shimmer. Sheering this deep grey out makes the sparkly finish much more apparent. Guilty Grey makes an awesome base for a smokey eye, and a great eyeliner. This shade pairs particularly well with Urban Decay's Pistol Eyeshadow.
Rimmel's ScandalEyes Eyeshadow Stick in Guilty Grey is as awesome as I expected! Guilty Grey is a deep, shimmering grey that's pretty versatile - standalone shade, base, or eyeliner - it can do it all! Like the other ScandalEyes cream shadow crayons I've reviewed, Guilty Grey applies and wears super well. If you're looking for a deep grey cream shadow, Rimmel's Guilty Grey is a great quality, super cheap choice. I recommend it, and the ScandalEyes Eyeshadow Stick line as a whole.
