Sportsgirl Lollypop Lip Jam Review

Sportsgirl says "treat your lips with Lip Jam! A super cute moisturizing lip balm." These cute lip balms are available in four shades - this review is for Lollypop. Each Sportsgirl Lip Jam contains 16 grams (.56 oz) of product and sells just $5.95 AUD. Sportsgirl does not test their cosmetics on animals. This potted lip balm was made in Australia. Sportsgirl products can be bought in Sportsgirl stores throughout Australia, or through the brand's website, which ships worldwide.

Sportsgirl's Lip Jams have very cute, but not necessarily practical or sanitary packaging. Lip Jam comes in little round glass jars with a gold screw on cap. A grey and pink label wraps around the jar. The product name is printed on the front of the label, a full ingredient list can be found on the back. This jar is surprisingly heavy and like all potted lip products, it isn't very travel friendly. All packaging is recyclable.
Lip Jam is an interesting product. I wouldn't actually categorize it as a lip balm, to me its more of a very dense lip gloss. Sportsgirl Lip Jams are very thick lip glosses that are best applied with a brush. Man, this gloss is just so thick. When first applied, Lip Jam is pretty sticky, but the tackiness wears away the longer this gloss is on. Lollypop isn't a long wearing product, I get about an hour of wear from it. When it comes to being moisturizing, I'm going to keep it straight to the point and say that it isn't. This lip product isn't hydrating or drying. Lollypop has a generic, artificial fruit scent and flavor.
Sportsgirl calls their Lollypop Lip Jam a coral, but to me this is more of a warm, bright hot pink with a coral tinge. Lollypop is devoid of shimmer or glitter. This nearly neon gloss has a super high shine finish 0 it looks like pink patent leather on the lips. Color payoff is customizable depending on how you choose to apply this gloss. Applying Lollypop with a brush results in full coverage color, application with a finger sheers Lollypop out significantly.
Eh, I'm not a fan of Sportsgirl's Lollypop Lip Jam. Packaging is very cute, but I'm not a fan of potted lip glosses. Sportsgirl mislabled this product when they called it a balm, it is very certainly a lip gloss. This gloss is thick and sticky, feeling heavy on the lips. Despite the density of this lip gloss, its wear time isn't impressive. Lollypop is a bright, pretty pink with a coral undertone and an intensely glossy finish. The value of this lip gloss is fantastic - you get a load of product for just six Aussie bucks. That being said, I think you could spend that money better elsewhere.
